About

Mission

At Discovery Functional Health, our mission is to bring your health to light by looking beyond symptoms to discover the root causes that may be keeping you from feeling your best. We take the time to listen, understand your unique story, and care for you as a whole person—not just a collection of symptoms or lab results. With faith as our foundation, we believe each person is uniquely created, deeply valued, and worthy of compassionate care. Through functional testing, education, and genuine partnership, we walk alongside you to help you better understand your health, make informed choices, and take meaningful steps toward lasting wellness.

Vision

Our vision is to help people discover a clearer understanding of their health and experience the hope that comes from knowing there is a path forward. We want every person who walks through our doors to feel heard, cared for, and encouraged. We envision a place where faith, science, and genuine care come together—where we look deeper, ask better questions, and seek to understand the why behind health concerns. Ultimately, our hope is to help people become confident stewards of their health so they can live with greater health, purpose, and freedom to fully embrace the life they have been given.

My story starts with my own unanswered questions.

Before I ever ordered a functional lab panel for a client, I was the one sitting in the waiting room. My own extensive health journey – the appointments, the “normal” results, the symptoms that stayed anyway – is what sparked my education in functional nutrition.
I know what it feels like to be told nothing is wrong while your body insists otherwise. And I know the relief of finally seeing, in black and white, the reasons behind how you feel.

That experience became a calling. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Fort Hays State University and my Master of Science in Human Health and Performance from Pittsburg State University. I gained professional experience as a Community Health Educator and Health Coach for Kansas State University – educating, coaching, and guiding people toward better health.

Becoming a Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner (FDN-P) gave me the investigative tools to go deeper: to stop managing symptoms and start uncovering causes.

Discovery Functional Health is the practice I wish I’d found all those years ago.
